A. Approximate requirements: 130 Tons maximum B. Specifications: 1. Material shall meet the American Water Works Association Standard Specifications B301-10 and all addenda. Supplier shall include with their bid a certificate of compliance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60. 2. Bids must be accompanied by a certified chemical analysis of the liquid chlorine which the manufacturer proposes to deliver. 3. Material shall be delivered in one-ton approved containers. Delivery shall be for use during Fiscal Year 25/26 (July 1, 2025 through Dec 31,2026). 4. Supplier must be able to provide a minimum of 18 ton cylinders during each of the months May, June, July, August and September, and a minimum of 12 ton cylinders during each of all other months (however, due to limited space for handling cylinders, no more than 6 ton cylinders may be included in any one delivery unless pre-approved by the City). 5. Price quoted is to be F.O.B. Great Falls Water Treatment Plant, include any and all fuel surcharges, hazardous materials fees and applicable taxes and include the return of empty cylinders. The City of Great Falls shall not be charged a cylinder deposit or rental fee. 6. Successful bidder shall be responsible for all additional costs incurred by the City Water Treatment Plant should it be necessary to change the direction of existing chlorine cylinder connecting pigtails. 7. Truck deliveries must be made on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No deliveries will be accepted on weekends or City holidays. 8. Cylinders received will be required to have good packing, functional valves and no leakage. Cylinder valves will be tightened to a maximum torque of 40 foot-pounds at the chlorine packaging plant. Cylinders not meeting these requirements will be rejected and replaced at the supplier's expense. 9. Specify guaranteed delivery time after receipt of order. Be able to deliver within 10 days of ordering during each of the months of May, June, July, August, and September.
