RFB-S10-112 - Water Main Improvements for the Willow Run Fire Suppression System

Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Bids (RFB), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Bids to provide construction services for water main improvements for the fire suppression system at Willow Run Airport (Airport). A portion of the fire suppression system at Willow Run Airport requires significant modification. The work required includes the installation of 12” ductile iron pipe to connect the existing 12” water main in the Beck Road right of way (R.O.W.) to the existing Airport fire suppression system west of Third Street. See Attachment A. The Airport’s existing “East Apron” fire suppression system is supplied from an above ground heated storage tank. The Airport Authority desires to abandon the storage tank, disconnect the supply line and connect the existing water distribution system to the Van Buren Township 12” waterline. Removal of the existing fire suppression storage tank is not required in this contract.
