Through this Request for Bids (RFB), The Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit bids to restore and spot repair designated areas of the Blue Deck Parking Structure and the McNamara Deck Parking Structure at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (Airport)
The Blue Deck Parking Structure has approximately 5,500 parking spaces within its six (6) level east deck and four (4) level west deck. It is located off of Rogell Drive and adjacent to the L.C. Smith Terminal. The east and west decks are served by a flyover (speed ramp), that permits rapid vehicle entry to and exit from, the respective parking structures. This flyover requires spot repairs and preventative maintenance to continue operating at a satisfactory service level. Additionally, the moving walkway enclosure and designated areas of the floor surface require common preventative maintenance.
The McNamara Deck Parking Structure consists of a 10 story pre-cast concrete structure with two double helix ramps, containing approximately 11,000 parking spaces and a ground transportation center and is located adjacent to the McNamara Terminal. The McNamara Deck requires sheet pile wall corrosion repair, concrete stair step restoration, isolated concrete surface repairs, stair walkway joint cover plate traction coating, screen guardrail painting and stainless steel handrail stain removal.
The Airport Authority has developed a plan to complete the necessary work which is scheduled for completion during the spring/summer of 2008. The base program selected by the Airport Authority includes the general work groups herein.
