RFB-S13-119 - Hot Mix Asphalt

Summary of Specifications:
Through this Request for Bids (RFB), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Bids to supply the Airport Authority with hot mix asphalt on an as-needed basis at both Detroit Metro Airport (Group A) and Willow Run Airport (Group B). Bidders may bid on either Group A, Group B or both Groups. Hot mix asphalt is purchased for the repair and preventative maintenance of runways, taxiways, ramp areas and public roadways at Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports (Airports). On average, the Airport Authority uses approximately 2,100 tons of asphalt per paving season (April through November). The material shall be hauled by Airport Authority equipment (5 and 10 yard dump trucks, 4 yard hot box and/or sub-contracted haulers).
