518691 - System Simulation & Analytical Services

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) requests bids that will provide system simulation and analytical services for an 18-month period of the water distribution and sewer collection network. The purpose of this task item is to establish the foundational requirements for a simulation architecture for a Detroit system wide model and an IIoT monitoring plan for near-real time visualization of data and its’ effects. The need is to develop the architecture, infrastructure, and procedures to collect, aggregate, analyze and act on the data generated by these endpoints and other data sets. The department also needs to formalize the processes that must manage and optimize the data and its communications workflows. The data science role is becoming increasingly important as businesses rely more heavily on data analytics to drive decision-making and lean on automation and machine learning as core components of digital strategies.
