RFQ-RM-02-15-2018-001 - Lucinda Burns Playscape

The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Taylor, Michigan desires to replace an existing playground structure located at Lucinda Burn Park at the corner of Hipp Street and Avalon Avenue. The proposed playground area is approximately 50’ by 50’ in size and will consist of wood timber border with engineered wood fill surfacing flush with existing grade requiring the area to be excavated to the appropriate level. The design should be predominately stock or quick ship items. The City is seeking proposals in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified recreation equipment design/build firm or team (Contractor) to produce a conceptual design, final design and construction documents and construction of a non-supervised public park. This project is Federally Funded through Wayne County Community Development Block Grant.  Project must be completed using prevailing wages.
 
Suppliers should base their playground equipment designs on meeting all accessibility and safety standards as well as the guidelines & specifications listed in this RFP.  Quality of equipment components, quality of design, play value, cost, and appropriateness to location and target demographic must be taken into consideration in the design of the play system
