RFQ-RM-2020-09-18-002 - CDBG Roof and Concrete Replacement

The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Roof and Concrete replacement. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount shall be required upon execution of the contract and prior to beginning work.

Roof Replacement
•     Remove all existing roofing
•      Install ½” OSB Sheathing on areas as needed please include 1 sheet in bid or equivalent 6” board to be included.
•     Install 30 year Dimensional Shingles (Supply Warranty)
•     Install ASTM 15lb. roofing fabric or synthetic underlayment
•     Ice Shield to 36” past interior walls
•     Install Bird Proof Venting as required per current code
•     Replace all flashing and drip edges
•     Quote to include all necessary Materials, Insurance, Labor, Taxes, Permits & Dump Fees

Concrete Replacement

• Approximately 145 sf of removal and replacement of the 5’ sidewalk for approximately 29 feet in length, all tree roots to be ground down or cut out completely to facilitate new concrete.
• A section of the driveway approximately 45 square feet in size on the right side requires removal and replacement, 5’ wide by 9’ in length.
• Sidewalk to the house is approximately 104 square feet in area and is 26’ feet in length by 4’ feet in width.
• Remove and replace necessary base material with minimum 4” compacted aggregate base material.
• The existing 6’-6” x 10’-3” porch cap requires removal and replacement along with replacement of the existing steps with 2 new precast concrete steps to match the width of the existing. The block base of the porch requires removal and replacement of stone fascia around border, color and style to match existing. New aluminum railing to be installed to meet code requirements of 36” in height to match original configuration
• Field measurements shall be submitted with all quotes.
• Proper base materials shall be installed and compacted per codes.
