Oak-0000000589 - WRC:Geo W. Kuhn Drain Board As-Needed Plumbing For HomeGuard Program

The Oakland County Water Resource Commission on behalf of the GWK Drainage Board
requests statements of qualifications and pricing to select 2-3 qualified and licensed plumbers
to render administration, installation, and program management of the HomeGuard program
consisting of the installation of backwater valve preventers and sump pump systems in
private homes located in the pilot program area in the City of Berkley as set forth in this
RFQ. The Drainage Board reserves the right to extend this contract to other areas of the
county.
The Contractor shall note that the Bid Sheet and associated Unit Prices will be applied on an “as needed” basis. The Project intends to complete work at as many homes as possible with a limited maximum budget. The total number of homes that will be completed under this contract is estimated, but not guaranteed, to be 75 homes and are anticipated to be split amongst Awarded contractors. A given individual home may not require each Bid Item. Unit prices established herein shall be used as a basis for payment after an initial inspection and estimate is completed for each individual home. Two size pumps are included for flexibility given a specific home’s specific arrangement and potential pumping needs.
