Summary of Specifications:
ADVERTISEMENT FOR VILLAGE OF FRANKLIN SEWER LINING PROGRAM Contract No. 1 OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN
Sealed proposals will be received by the Office of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner, County Agency, Oakland County, Michigan, Building 95 West, One Public Works Drive, Waterford, Michigan 48328-1907 for the construction of certain facilities and structures, including the following approximate quantities:
CIPP lining 400 linear feet of 10-inch sewer, 1,900 linear feet of 12-inch sewer, and 1,300 linear feet of 15-inch sewer; epoxy lining and sealing 18 manholes, and related Work.
Proposals will be received up to 2:00 p.m., local time, on the date set forth herein at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.
PROPOSAL TO BE RECEIVED: APRIL 21, 2010
Bidders shall review and comply with the Information For Bidders, which are incorporated by reference, and carefully review all Contract Documents, as defined in the Information For Bidders. Bids submitted after the exact time specified for receipt will not be considered.
Starting on Monday, March 29, 2010, the Drawings and Specifications under which the work will be done will be on file and may be examined at the Office of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner at Building 95 West, One Public Works Drive, Waterford, Michigan, the Construction Association of Michigan and Dodge Reports. Copies thereof may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of sixty five ($65.00), (Check Only) for each set of Contract Documents and set of plans from the Office Wade Trim Associates, Inc., 25251 Northline Road, Taylor, MI 48180.
A pre bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., local time, at the Office of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner, Building 95 West, One Public Works Drive, Waterford, Michigan 48328 1907.
All prospective Bidders are requested to attend this meeting.
Failure to attend the meeting shall not relieve the Bidder from compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including without limitation the Equal Employment and Minority, Small, and Women's Business Regulations.
Use of Small, Minority, and Women’s Business Enterprises: In accordance with EPA’s Program for the Utilization of Small, Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise in procurement under the assistance programs, respondents to the RFP are encouraged to include small, minority and women’s businesses as part of the project, if possible. The goals are: 3% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 5% Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). The respondents must follow the six affirmative steps state in 40 CFR 31.36(e). The bidder shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including without limitation the Equal Employment and Minority, Small and Women’s Business Regulations.
A certified or cashier's check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required for each proposal.
The right is reserved by the Owner to accept any proposal, to reject any proposal and to waive irregularities in the proposals.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within 90 days after the actual date of opening thereof.
