Summary of Specifications:
Oakland County Purchasing Division is requesting proposals on behalf of the Oakland County Health Division for four (4) portable biologic transport refrigerator/freezer as outlined in the following specifications.
Specifications
1. Prefer units designed for “vaccine” storage. 2. Prefer Units with multiple settings for use with freezer or refrigerator vaccines [see ranges in 2.a & b.], OR individual units designed for one temperature range, e.g. freezer OR refrigerator: a. Maintain frozen vaccines, at or below 5° F [-15° C]. b. Maintain refrigerator vaccines between 35° - 46° F [2° - 8° C]. 2. Capacity for large number of vaccine doses, e.g. multi-dose vial doses: 5,000 doses; single dose vial doses: 1,000 doses. 3. Light weight, non-bulky unit is desirable to allow for ease in lifting into automobile backseat or trunk without mechanical assistance. 4. Locking wheels and expandable handle for pulling unit to location then locking wheels into place. 5. Run on standard household power. 6. Built-in power surge protection. 7. Run on vehicle power outlet [cigarette lighter]. 8. Internal fan to prevent thermal layering. 9. Thermostat with built-in audio and visual temperature alarms. 10. Lockable latch. 11. Battery back-up system with 5 day life. 12. Back-up battery just in time ready [e.g. plugged into power source until ready to use, or long life battery like the AED].
