Summary of Specifications:
Oakland County Purchasing Division is requesting SEALED proposals on behalf of Oakland County International Airport for the treatment of Emerald Ash Borer and for Detection/Treatment of Lilac Borer on the Ash Trees at Oakland County International Airport and Oakland/Troy Airport. The Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and the means of work to: 1. hydraulically deep root soil inject all ash trees in the month of April at a rate of one gallon of product mixture per diameter inch of tree, equally spaced around the root zone of each tree. The product mix will be as listed below. A. MERIT 75WSP - use four (4) 1.6 ounce packages per 100 gallons of product mix. B. Essential Soil Conditioner and Bio-Stimulant - % gallon per 100 gallons of product mix. C. Growth Products 18-3-6- liquid fertilizer with micronutrients and humic acid - 3.0 gallons per 100 gallons of product mix. 2. Trunk inject each ash tree using the Wedgle Tree Injection System with "Pointer" – active ingredient Imidicloprid. Each ash tree will be injected every 4-5 inches of circumference as measured at the flare (base) of the tree. Work to be completed after the trees leaf out in May and before the first week in June. Injections will be done by a trained ISA Certified Arborist with successful experience in treating for Emerald Ash Borer. Approximately 190 ash trees as designated are to be treated for Emerald Ash Borer at the following charge dependent upon the diameter of the tree.
