Contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work.
Contractor is responsible for moving all furniture, partitions, equipment, and obstacles from their original locations and replacing all items back in their original positions, undamaged and in working order. There is no extra storage space for furniture, equipment, etc.
All carpet tiles, LVP, VCT, cove base, reducers, and materials (adhesives, cleaners, patching and leveling compounds, etc.) must be new, in original containers, unexpired, unused, and in excellent condition.
Contractor must follow manufacturer’s instructions and specifications for storage, use, installation, and disposal of carpet tiles, LVP, VCT, cove base, reducers, adhesives, equipment, tools, and materials. Installation must be in accordance with all Warranties and must not limit or void Warranty coverages.
Contractor must properly prepare floors and walls for installation including removal of old material and adhesives, cleaning, patching, skim coating, etc. as needed. Floors and walls shall be dry, level, structurally sound, and free of dirt, oil, grease, debris, cracks, pits, etc.
Contractor must protect surrounding areas, walls, floors, doors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment from dirt, debris, adhesives, spills, damage, etc. Contractor must protect product from damage. Contractor shall assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of any products stored for JATA, regardless of where the product is stored.
Contractor is responsible for daily cleanup of work areas and returning areas to a clean and safe condition.
Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of all excess, used and/or old materials, supplies, and debris. Contractor shall not dump any materials or debris in JATA receptacles or dumpsters or on JATA property without permission from JATA Project Manager.
Products and product installation methods must allow for immediate occupancy unless otherwise arranged in advance with JATA Project Manager.
Actual quantities and/or amounts of product, materials and/or labor may vary. All changes and variances must be approved by JATA Project Manager in advance.
JATA will not pay for any excess material ordered or shipped unless the Project Manager requests excess for later use. If any attic stock is ordered, it must be sold at a non-installed price. It is anticipated that one box each of extra stock will be requested of new carpet tiles, VCT, and LVP flooring. Installer must provide the manufacturer name, item name/number, and product code of the product.
Provide and install carpet tile:
Employee offices, conference room, general work area, office hallway, and dispatch office.
The project includes the removal and haul away of the existing carpet and pad, cove base, and molding as required. It also includes preparation of surfaces to receive carpet, installation of new carpet tile, and replacement of cove base and molding. Color and pattern TBD. Adhesive and materials used shall be appropriate for the type of carpet tile chosen.
Install 4” vinyl cove base where needed, reusing existing where possible, and vinyl reducers. Colors TBD.
Replace furniture and equipment and clean area.
Provide and install LVP flooring:
Front entrance/ lounge area, front office, and bathroom hallway
The project includes the removal and haul away of the existing carpet and pad, cove base, and molding as required. Provide and install 20 mil wear layer LVP flooring. Adhesive and materials used shall be appropriate for the type of LVP flooring chosen.
Install 4” vinyl cove base where needed, reusing existing where possible, and vinyl reducers. Colors TBD.
Replace furniture and equipment and clean area.
Provide and install VCT flooring:
Employee entrance area, employee lounge, drivers lounge, and hallways to shop
Proposer shall suggest laying new VCT over current floors or whether removal of existing flooring is in the best interest of JATA. Colors tbd.
