PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR SECURITY GUARD SERVICES PROJECT 2022-07 The Interurban Transit Partnership (ITP) (DBA The Rapid) invites proposals from qualified firms to furnish Security Guard Services at its Rapid Central Station (RCS), 250 Grandville Avenue, including the Bus Platform Area at 155 Bartlett Ave SW, Vern J. Ehlers Amtrak Station located at 440 Century SW, and Kentwood Transit Hub located at 3301-28th Street SE Kentwood, MI. Additional staffing may be required at other ITP sites as needed. These sites include but are not limited to Rapid Administrative Office at 300 Ellsworth Ave SW, Rapid Facilities at 700 Butterworth Ave SW, Rapid Operations Center at 333 Wealthy St SW, Laker Line Operations Building at 851 Freeman Ave SW, Rapid CNG Fueling Station at 1200 Market Ave SW. Proposals are due Wednesday, January 5, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m. ET posted to MITN. ITP has joined the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN). This is a group of agencies that joined forces to create a regional bid notification system to notify companies of new bid opportunities. Proposals shall be subject to all applicable State and Federal laws and subject to financial assistance contracts between the ITP Board and the United States Department of Transportation under the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, and the Michigan Department of Transportation. The selected contractor(s) will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. All proposers will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors. The ITP Board hereby notifies all proposers that it will affirmatively ensure, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this Request for Proposal and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, religion, color, sex, handicap, or national origin, in consideration for an award. The ITP Board reserves the right to postpone, accept, or reject any and all proposals in whole or in part on such basis as the ITP Board deems to be in its interest to do so, subject to the rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Transit Administration and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
