The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) requests written proposals from firms to provide as needed geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, surveying, drafting, inspection, design and related technical services involving sampling, testing and analyzing of site soils, construction materials (such as concrete, steel, wood, etc.), engineered fill materials, environmental-related sampling and analyses (such as asbestos containing materials, lead based paint, lead caulked pipe joints, PCBs, mercury, and contaminated soils), and other miscellaneous engineering design, surveying, inspection and technical services to support GLWA during the study, design and construction phases of various capital improvement projects throughout the GLWA system.
The scope of work also includes geotechnical drilling and soil probing services necessary to advance soil borings and collect undisturbed soil samples, as well as all other necessary field services that are required to collect construction materials and environmental-related samples for analysis. Other technical services, including professional land surveying; corrosion control engineering, and construction inspection services to document construction contractors’ quality of work and its conformance to contract requirements may also be requested.
