IT-2021-1-REBID - Network Switch Infrastructure Refresh (Re-Bid)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Grand Blanc Township is seeking proposals for the acquisition of new Network Switch Infrastructure along with the associated implementation services to deploy and integrate the equipment into Grand Blanc Township environment.

1. The existing switch infrastructure is comprised of several manufactures but the majority of the equipment are older HP switches, providing 10/100/1000 connections. Each of the buildings on the GBT campus are connected 10/100/1000 BaseSX on 62.5 micron fiber.
2. The selected Vendor will be required to adhere to GBT purchasing requirements.
3. The selected Vendor will be required to install asset tags on all equipment complying with GBT requirements.

5. The submission of a bid on shall constitute an offer on by the vendor to provide equipment and services through the duration project at or below the bid pricing / unit pricing if GBT chooses to purchase additional equipment.
6. GBT would like to standardize their Network Switch infrastructure. A bill of materials document is included as an example of what Grand Blanc Township is looking for.  (See Line G, H)
7. Grand Blanc Township welcomes other manufacturers, provided they are considered equivalent or better to what is listed under the provided bill of materials.
8. Grand Blanc Township reserves the right to have final say over whether the equipment submitted is considered equivalent or better to what is listed in the bill of material.

1. The network connection between the Township office (core switch stack) and Police Station (access layer switch stack) shall consist of (2) 10GB links in an MC-LAG or MEC configuration (aggregate 20GB) across different switches in the switch stacks.
2. Create (2) 1GB links in a MC-LAG or MEC configuration between the Core switch stack and the designated switches located in the Maintenance Barn, North and South Pole Barn locations.
3. Stackable edge switches in each closet with full 10/100/1000 POE+ connections
4. Include a system diagram organized by location with the proposed solution including a listing and description of all components within the proposed solution.
5. Provide information about subscriptions and support capabilities. Bid shall include a description of the aforementioned and associated costs with the proposed system solution.
6. Remove unused existing equipment and deliver to a centralized location identified by GBT staff.
7. Vendor shall be responsible for coordinating the network configuration with the integrators who will be utilizing the network (e.g. servers, clients, IP telephony, video systems, Board Room presentation systems, projector management systems, building security systems, building environmental management systems etc.).
8. Vendor shall provide knowledge transfer upon completion of the project; any associated training cost should be included within the bid response.
