The City of Detroit Downtown Development Authority is releasing an RFP for the Downtown Parking Lot Improvement Project – Planters and Site Fixtures. The project includes the procurement, installation,
and landscaping of planters on various parking lots within Detroit’s downtown district. Additionally, the alternate scope of work for this project may include the procurement and installation of garbage receptacles at some of the parking lot sites. These improvements are intended to coincide with the upcoming NFL draft, taking place in Detroit on April 25-27, 2024.
The Opportunity
The Downtown Parking Lot Improvement Project is envisioned to enhance several parking locations within
the downtown district. The project will help beautify parking lots and improve safety and security in anticipation of more than 500,000 visitors to Detroit during the NFL Draft Weekend. The selected contractor will work directly with DDA staff and parking lot owners to schedule, install, and landscape planters per the specifications included in this bid package. All measurements and locations need to be verified by contractors.
