The City of Grand Rapids is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional services for the rehabilitation and lining of existing sanitary sewer manholes. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from experienced contractors capable of performing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to clean, repair, rehabilitate, and line existing manholes to extend their service life, prevent infiltration, and provide chemical and corrosion protection.

The City of Grand Rapids, the second largest city in Michigan. The City of Grand Rapids serves a population of approximately 200,000 people with a municipal area of 46 square miles. The City is a regional provider of water, wastewater, storm water, and other public services to a number of municipalities in Kent and Ottawa counties, serving a population of approximately 280,000 and covering 137 square-miles of service area. The project involves the rehabilitation and lining of existing sewer manholes located at various sites within the City of Grand Rapids. The work includes cleaning, surface preparation, structural repairs, flow channel reconstruction, and installation of a cured-in-place or multi-layer composite lining system. The project aims to restore the structural integrity of the manholes, ensure watertight performance, and protect against chemical and biological attack in municipal sewer environments.
