The Grand Rapids Fire Department (GRFD) currently has 11 Fire Stations located throughout the City. Being able to provide the best customer and operational services for citizens is a high priority for the City as an organization. As a result, it is important to attract and hire the highest, most well-rounded candidates from entrance applicant pools. For leadership development it is vital that the personnel processes for promotional opportunities yield the best overall candidates for open promotional positions.
