The City of Grand Rapids (City) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain proposals for a qualified contractor to conduct energy audits for various facilities owned and operated by the City of Grand Rapids. This objective of this RFP is to perform upgrades relating to increasing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions.

The City operates more than 200 buildings, of which the Facilities Department is responsible for maintaining and operating approximately 20 buildings which are regarded as high users of energy. For the purposes of this Request for Proposal, the City is most interested in a select amount of buildings which are identified as primary users of energy in the City’s operations.

The City is interested in an energy audit in order to best identify opportunities for largest amounts of energy savings, utility bill savings, and better understand costs that would be associated with conducting any such upgrades.
