Water System Improvements
Contract 1 – Water Distribution
Contract 2 – Water Supply
City of Beaverton is requesting Bids for the construction of Contract 1 – Water Distribution and
Contract 2 – Water Supply. Bids for the construction of the projects will be received at the City Offices
located at 128 Saginaw St, Beaverton, MI 48612, until 1:00 p.m. local time, October 15, 2025. At that
time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
Plans and specifications for Contracts 1 and 2 will be available by August 29, 2025.
The project Contract 1 – Water Distribution includes the construction of approximately 10,000 feet of
watermain (includes bid alternates), ranging from 8” to 14” in diameter, along with associated water
services. A portion of the watermain will be horizontally drilled under Ross Lake along Porter Street.
The project also includes new hydrants, valves, connections to existing watermain, capping of existing
watermain, system-wide water meter replacements and related surface restoration (asphalt, concrete,
gravel, grass, etc.) are part of this project.
The project Contract 2 – Water Supply includes converting an existing test production well into a new
Type I supply well by providing a pitless adapter, well pump, and all related components. The project
also includes site watermain to connect the new well to the existing water treatment plant, interior
process piping, and chemical feed system modifications, site electrical, and all related work.

emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge; hard copy documents are not available. Nonbiddable
documents may be viewed in the on-line Bid Room at www.fveng.com.
The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.
A pre-bid conference for the projects will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm EST at the City Offices, 128 Saginaw St, Beaverton, MI 48612. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

This work is being performed in accordance with and funded through an EGLE Drinking Water State
Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program. The City of Beaverton reserves the right to accept any bid, reject
any or all bids, to waive informalities, and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of
the City of Beaverton.
