The City of Battle Creek will accept sealed bids for the Kingman Museum Phase II project. This project consists of, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of the grand staircase top tier, with the existing volume below to be infilled with flowable fill as indicated in the plans. Scope includes perimeter waterproofing, encompassing excavation, waterproofing application, and backfill in accordance with project specifications. The north exterior stair and adjacent spaces are to be removed, with new masonry wall infill, foundation waterproofing, and drainage improvements for the storage area. Additional subgrade and exterior work shall be completed as shown in the drawings and described in the specifications. Work also includes recommissioning of mechanical systems as well as mechanical upgrades/ repairs on existing equipment. Alternate work scopes include, but is not limited to, limestone and brick veneer restoration, window and exterior door replacement, and lower-level egress stair modifications.
