Summary of Specifications:
The City of Sterling Heights is receiving bids for the Mowing and Maintenance of the Van Dyke Median and Interchanges, Metropolitan Parkway, Mound Road, Schoenherr Road, and 18 ½ Mile Road Medians, and the Dodge Park Road, Seventeen Mile Road, and Ryan Road Right-of Ways. The successful bidder must be able to furnish all maintenance, labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform this Contract.
This project is being substantially funded by a Contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) on a yearly renewable basis. In the event MDOT does not provide funding to the City of Sterling Heights for a particular year or portion of this project, the City shall have the option of not utilizing the Contractor for that year.
Description of Work: The work contemplated by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment to perform all work required for maintenance of turf and shrubbery beds. This work is to be done from the second week in April through the third week in October. Should weather conditions prevent these starting and/or ending dates, adjustment can be made with the approval of the City.
