Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide Water Meters to satisfactorily support the Department of Public Services. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 until EXACTLY 3:00 p.m. local time, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at which time and place the names of proposers will be publicly read aloud.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION The City of Rochester Hills Water/Sewer Division serves over 22,500 customers with nearly 800 miles of water and sewer lines. The City sends out approximately 141,000 bills annually and processes almost 1,000 maintenance-related work orders per year.
The City of Rochester Hills employs a Sensus AMR system to read approximately 24,000 Invensys (Sensus) ECR 5/8”, 1”, 1 ½” and 2” Displacement Meters along with 3” and up to 10” Turbine (Sensus) Meters.
Any water meters proposed by the vendor must be 100% compatible with the City’s Sensus AMR system utilizing Sensus Auto Read for Windows, Version 5.59 program. Any additional equipment/software proposed by the Vendor for integration into the City’s current system will not be accepted.
City personnel will be installing the water meters.
