Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting quotations for a blanket purchase order for various lubricants, synthetic lubricants, and antifreeze for the calendar year 2011. Unit prices are requested, FOB Destination City of Rochester Hills, Department of Public Service, 511 E. Auburn Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48307. Prices quoted must be firm for the entire year. If you are interested in providing a quotation, please fill in the following information and fax or mail back by: Thursday, February 17, 2011. All questions and/or quotations should be directed to the attention of: Lisa Cummins, Purchasing Analyst, City of Rochester Hills, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309, Phone: 248/ 841-2537 Fax 248/608-8178. Only those persons designated above are authorized to seek additional information from prospective vendors regarding their bid proposals. Correspondence or inquiries made directly to vendors regarding their bid proposals from all other persons are to be directed to those City employees designated above for appropriate review and response. All inquiries shall be made on or before Thursday, Febraury 10, 2011 at 12:00 noon (local time), in order that a written response in the form of an addendum can be processed before the bids are opened. Inquires received after that date will not be considered. Specifications/Scope of Work: The City wishes to establish a contract with a qualified firm(s) for the delivery of various lubricants, synthetic lubricants, and antifreeze on an as needed basis. Fuel surcharges are not allowed for the duration of this contract. All applicable shipping charge shall be included in the cost of each product. Recycled, re-refined, private label, house brand or private blended oil shall not be allowed. Only oil from a documented virgin internationally recognized manufacturer will be considered. Oil specifications must be able to be independently documented and verified on a manufacturer’s website (distributor sites disallowed). A sample of the proposed product(s) must be made available to be tested by an independent lab to verify quality and specifications if requested by the City. Synthetic motor oil, transmission fluid, and grease must be 100% synthetic, unless otherwise specified. If quoting a brand of synthetic other than Amsoil, vendor must ensure and provide documentation that the brand of synthetic oil quoted is compatible with Amsoil synthetic motor oil, transmission fluid and grease.
