Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills & the George W. Auch Company will receive firm subcontractor bids for the renovations of Rochester Hills Fire Stations #1, 2, 3 & 5, the demolition of Station #4 & new construction of Station #4 located in Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309. Sitework, Landscaping, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical & Traffic Signal work will be performed at the stations. The bidding documents consist of plans and specifications as prepared by CHMP, Inc. 5198 Territorial Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Complete sets of documents will be available electronically through Planwell and hard copies may be purchased from DunnBlue/ARC, 1009 W. Maple St., Clawson, Michigan 48017; 248-288-5600 email michigan.troy@e-arc.com. A copy of the documents will also be available for review at the offices of the George W. Auch Co., 735 S. Paddock Street, Pontiac, Michigan., 48341, 248-334-2000, on or after July 16, 2015. A pre-bid meeting will be held at Rochester Hills Fire Station #1 Training Room, 1111 Horizon Court, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 on July 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Site visits will be arranged following pre-bid meeting. An opaque envelope bearing your proposal must identify your company name, the project being bid “City of Rochester Hills Fire Stations #1, 2, 3, 4 & 5” and “Sealed Bid, Do Not Open”. The proposal shall be addressed to City of Rochester Hills, 1000 Rochester Hills Dr., Rochester Hills Michigan, 48309. Proposals must be delivered no later than 12:00 pm., on Friday August 7, 2015. Proposals may be delivered to the City of Rochester Hills’ Purchasing Division (Lower Level) 1000 Rochester Hills Dr., Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or the George W. Auch Company, 735 S. Paddock, Pontiac, MI 48341. Each proposal must be submitted on the forms furnished by the Construction Manager and must be completed in full. A bid bond executed by a U.S. Treasury Listed Surety Company acceptable to the George W. Auch Company or a cashier’s check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal payable to City of Rochester Hills shall be submitted with each proposal in excess of $23,126. All proposals shall be firm for a period of sixty (60) days. Bids will be publicly opened and read at a meeting convened at City of Rochester Hills, City Hall, City Hall Auditorium 1000 Rochester Hills Dr., Rochester Hills Michigan 48309, starting at 1:00 pm. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a U.S. Treasury Listed Company Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond shall be included in each proposal. The City of Rochester Hills reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part and to waive any informality therein.
