The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide ONE (1) SELF-PROPELLED EASEMENT MACHINE for the Department of Public Services. Optional pricing is also requested for a transport trailer. Proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 until 3:00 p.m. local time, on TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2010, at which time and place the names of proposers will be publicly read aloud. The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. Background The Department of Public Services Sewer division is responsible for providing sanitary sewer collection services to approximately 22, 500 residential and business customers. The sanitary sewer system consists of over 343 miles of sanitary sewer main, with approximately 8,140 manholes for system maintenance and access. Scope of Work The City of Rochester Hills is requesting proposals for a self-propelled easement machine. It is the intent of this RFP to describe the minimum requirements for a self-propelled, all-terrain type, mounted hose reel assembly to be used in conjunction with a high pressure hydraulic sewer cleaner. The expressed purpose of this unit is to extend the use of a high pressure hydraulic sewer cleaner into normally inaccessible areas, such as but not limited to, easements, hillsides, ravines, creek beds, wooded areas and behind homes and buildings.
