RFI-RH-08-014 - Information for UV Window Protection for Historic Van Hoosen Farm

Summary of Specifications:
The scope of this Request for Information is to gain information, data and costs for the different types of window protection from the effects of UV light, currently available in the market place. The intent of the window protection is to prevent damage to the historical structures and their contents, including artifacts. It is desired that the window protection be as inconspicuous as possible, in order to maintain the aesthetics and historical character of the structures. The City does not have a preference on the placement of the window protection on either the inside or outside. To avoid the possibility of window breakage and wear and tear on the buildings, the recommended solution should be long lasting, carrying a warranty of at least 8 to 10 years over its useful life. Vendors are asked to supply brochures and/or literature, as well as warranties on their recommended solution(s) in their response to the City.
