RFQ-RH-06-132 - Heirloom Fruit Trees

Important Note to Vendors:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting quotations for the one time purchase of heirloom fruit trees to be planted at five area sites. The goal of these plantings is to provide educational programs for local school children. 

Unit prices are requested, FOB City of Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Road, Rochester Hills, 48306. 

The City of Rochester Hills Museum received a grant for the purchase of seventy-five (75) heirloom fruit trees that will be planted at five area sites. The planting of all trees will be coordinated by City staff members and is not part of this quotation. The City would like to plant all trees in this fall (2006). 

Listed in the quote document are various species identified as acceptable to the City. In addition, if a variety is not available vendors are encouraged to substitute other varieties along with an explanation about their heirloom qualities. Sizes of shipped trees are requested on the quote form. 



All trees quoted must be on semi-dwarf root stock, zone 5 tolerant and one (1) year old (whips).
