The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified firms to supply grinder pumps to the City of Rochester Hills Department of Public Services Water and Sewer Division. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills at the Fiscal/Purchasing Office, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 until 3:00 P.M. Local time, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2011, at which time and place the names of proposers will be publicly read aloud. The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting the City website at www.rochesterhills.org, select City Services, Purchasing and Vendor Registration to link to the MITN website. Final proposal results will be posted on the MITN website after award. Any deviation from the specifications must be noted on the proposal. The City of Rochester Hills operates and maintains low pressure sanitary sewer systems with sewage grinder pumping stations for multiple areas in the City. These systems include grinder pumps and grinder pump stations manufactured by Environment One Corporation. The City is requesting proposals for supplying Environment One Extreme Pump Update with Conversion Cable or City approved equal grinder pump. The City wishes to enter into a contract for a three-year period with the successful proposer. Pricing proposed must remain firm for the term of the agreement. The City will be replacing its grinder pumps currently employed in the field over the next three (3) years and will require supply and delivery of these pumps during that time. It is estimated that the City will purchase ten-twelve (10-12) pumps yearly. Quantity figures, when given above are provided as an estimate of purchase volume based upon projected future use. This information is to be used only as a guide in the proposal process and should not be considered a guarantee to purchase minimum quantities or restrict the purchase of materials in quantities that exceed the approximated maximum estimates. These specifications cover the furnishing and delivery of the grinder pumps specified. The grinder pumps shall be delivered with all specified components installed new and fully functional.
