Summary of Specifications:
Dated, September 30, 2015: The City of Rochester Hills is accepting sealed proposals from qualified and experienced firms to assist the Building Department with fire suppression & fire alarm plan review and inspection services for commercial and industrial projects in accordance with the State of Michigan construction codes for a two (2) year term (2016 & 2017) to expire on December 31, 2017, with an option to renew for two (2) additional years (2018 & 2019). Due to workload, the City wishes to enter into a contract with one or more qualified firms in order to provide the necessary services and meet departmental demands. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division, (Lower Level) 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or submitted online through the MITN website until EXACTLY 3:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at which time and place proposers names will be publicly read aloud. Late submittals will not be accepted. All information requested herein must be submitted with the proposal prior to the due date; failure to do so may result in rejection of the proposal as non-responsive and/or incomplete. The City reserves the right to postpone the due date for its own convenience. Proposals are considered received when in the possession of the Purchasing Division at the due date and time. The purpose of this document is to ultimately enter into a contract with one or more qualified firms in order to provide the necessary services and meet departmental demands. The City of Rochester Hills Building Department has provided specifications and requirements, which will assist in the procurement of the highest quality services possible to meet the requirements and needs of the City. It is the intent of these specifications to cover the furnishing and delivery to the City of Rochester Hills fire suppression & fire alarm plan review and inspection services and hazardous material plan review for commercial and industrial projects. With a view to obtaining the most acceptable services, these specifications cover the general requirements. Recommendations from proposers are encouraged and will be reviewed and evaluated based on the best interest of the City.
