ITB-RH-08-034 - Bituminous cold Patching Material

Summary of Specifications:
The City is seeking bids on BITUMINOUS COLD PATCHING MATERIAL. The complete specifications are enclosed for your review. The proposal will be to furnish bituminous cold patching materials through December 31, 2008. The bid will be for a period of six (6) months, with an option to renew for one (1) additional year. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any defect or irregularity in bids. The City reserves the right to accept any separate item in the bid; and to accept the bid that, in the opinion of the City, is to the best advantage and interest of the public we serve. SPECIFICATIONS Specification guideline requirements are in the 1990 Standard Specifications for Construction, Michigan Department of Transportation unless stated otherwise. Unit weight and compliance with the specifications will be certified by an independent testing laboratory at the request of the City. All costs for testing will be paid for by the bidder. All delivered materials that do not meet the minimum requirements of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Standard Specifications shall be removed and replaced with suitable material by the bidder at no additional cost to the City. All City of Rochester Hills purchases require a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) where applicable in compliance with MIOSHA “Right To Know Law”.
