The City of Port Huron invites qualified developers to submit sealed proposals for the purchase and residential redevelopment of a premier 2.1-acre waterfront property located in southern Port Huron, Michigan (the “Property”). The City seeks development of a housing project on the Property that adds value to the community, complements surrounding assets, and capitalizes on the site's unique location along the St. Clair River.
The City of Port Huron has identified housing as its top priority, and the City desires a development on this site to serve a housing need and household income level that isn't currently being met.
The purchase price for the Property is negotiable. A price reduction for acquiring the Property land may be considered for a high-quality project that aligns with the site's vision and helps the City address the housing needs in the community. Interested development teams are invited to submit sealed proposals to the City.
Port Huron is a full-service thriving community of 28,800 residents. The City is situated at the southwestern tip of Lake Huron and the headwaters of the St. Clair River, a beautiful 7-mile-long waterfront community. Port Huron and its historic downtown are the beginning points for I-94 and I-69 leading south and west, making it a purposeful destination. The City boasts an excellent school system, a thriving industrial park, and a vibrant downtown commercial district.
