FIRE DEPARTMENT RENOVATIONS

The City of Garden City is accepting proposals for the
FIRE DEPARTMENT RENOVATIONS
in the City of Garden City, Wayne County, Michigan

The proposed project consists of several additions to the existing building along with ADA renovations to the existing restroom facilities at Garden City Fire Department. This will include selective demolition and reconstruction of concrete block exterior and interior walls, new plumbing fixtures and flooring with the replacement of the existing roof of the entire building. The anticipated start date is March 1, 2023 and substantially completed by October 1, 2023 with final completion by November 30, 2023. The Truck Bay addition must be completed to store existing vehicles in a heated space before inclement weather.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Garden City Fire Department next to City Hall, 6000 Middlebelt Road. This meeting is NOT mandatory; how it is strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders attend.

Bidders must deposit, with their bid, surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of bid opened.
