2025 Ferndale DDA Wayfinding - Downtown Ferndale Wayfinding and Signage Development Services

The Ferndale Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is soliciting comprehensive development services for wayfinding and signage with a unifying theme to help the community and visitors navigate the downtown. The goal is to have compelling visual representation of the Downtown Ferndale spirit with a unifying theme that is distinct from but complimentary to the City of Ferndale. This brand should harmonize Downtown Ferndale with municipal locations and public property, local business, tourism initiatives/special events, cultural and historical assets, and other associations for local marketing.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is intended to solicit and secure proposals from consultants with experience working with diverse interests within cities comparable to Ferndale and with focus on community branding. The consultant will provide recommendations as to the best investment of limited resources to accomplish the DDA’s needs/goals, as well as design of sample signage that could be bid for installation. The objective of the effort is to have a unifying message which will produce tangible increases in economic development activity, tourism activity, and enhance Ferndale’s overall quality of life.
