Description

The City of East Lansing seeks a qualified electrical contractor to provide a turnkey, code-compliant power run for two new 10 HP stationary recycling compactors at the public drop-off site (1800 E. State Rd., Department of Public Works & Environmental Services). Work includes:

Extend 480 V, 3-phase service from the interior distribution panel to the outdoor concrete pad—two dedicated feeders of roughly 450 ft each, routed through the DPW ceiling, exiting the building, and trenched across lawn.
Supply and install disconnects, grounding, testing, permits, and all coordination required for a fully operational system.

Submit proposal in a sealed envelope labeled “Sealed bid” and marked
with the project name and bidder identification. Proposals must be received by the
Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, not later than the time specified,
at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Proposal
may be mailed or hand delivered to the Environmental Sustainability and Resiliency
Manager at 410 Abbot Road, East Lansing, Michigan, 48823. It is the sole responsibility
of the Bidder to see that their proposal is received in proper time. Any proposal received
after the scheduled closing time for receipt of proposals shall be returned to the Bidder
unopened.
