The project will include installation of new water main, storm sewers, underdrains, concrete pavement, sidewalks, sidewalk ramps and driveway approaches on Pierce Street between Lincoln Avenue and 14 Mile Road. Approximate quantities are as follows: 667 linear feet of storm sewers; 2,779 linear feet of water mains, 9,230 square yards of new concrete pavement, 1,585 square yards of new concrete driveway approaches, 5,825 square feet of new sidewalks, plus other work to make a complete project.

Sealed proposals endorsed “PIERCE STREET PAVING PROJECT CONTRACT #3-23(P)” will be received from contractors by the City of Birmingham, at the office of the City Clerk, located at 151 Martin Street, Birmingham, Michigan, until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, June 15th, 2023. The proposals will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time. Bids submitted after the exact time specified for receipt will not be considered.

In order to provide the City of Birmingham with Contractors and Subcontractors who will carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, a fully completed Sworn Statement of Qualifications must be submitted to the Engineering Department of the City of Birmingham prior to the bid opening. This shall be done for the above project before the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Thursday, June 8th, 2023.
