Northville Township, Wayne County, Michigan, is soliciting qualifications from innovative planning consultants to submit qualifications and related information for the preparation of a new comprehensive master land use plan for the township. The plan shall serve as an easy to use vision and policy document to guide development, and development-related activities, within the township.
The township’s last comprehensive master plan update was completed in 2007. In 2017, the planning commission reviewed the future land use plan and identified properties where modifications were noted, but it was not formally adopted. Due to the age of the previous plan, the township desires to create a new plan. The plan, and the planning process, shall be engaging, innovative, and contemporary. A steering committee comprised of the Township Planner, and members of the planning commission and township board, will provide review, guidance, and oversite throughout the process.
