2021-206-001 - Low Voltage package HTFD Fire Station #1

1a.  Low Voltage Infrastructure for Fire Station #1 will begin in March for interior cabling.  Targeted date for completion of this building and all infrastructure is in the Spring of 2021.  The Local Area Network will be 10/100/1000 Mbps / CAT 6 Plenum Rated Cabling.  The Equipment Rack will be located inside the Mechanical Room.  All Cable Runs will be suspended above the drop ceiling using J-Hooks or Bridle Rings.  Conduits in each office will be provided by the Contractor with pull strings into wiring boxes.  All cables will be tested and labeled at the rack and at each end point of the cable and the face plate.  Cabling Infrastructure shall meet ANSI/TIA/T568B Standards.  Each CAT 6 Cable will be labeled entering each Patch Panel at least 2 Feet behind each RJ45 (Keystone Insert).  The Fire Station will also have Three Zones 70V Paging system throughout the facility integrated with radio and strobe lights located in equipment rooms or hard to reach areas of the station including two white strobe lights on the exterior back of the building for visual alerts during alerts.
The Fire Station requires a Wifi System for the entire building that will be password protected for internal users.  
A Training Room will require an independent sound system separate from the paging system.  An Amp, Pre-Amplifier / Mixing console, Speakers, and two headsets with two microphones for training and presentations.  Please include a cordless system for hands free microphone and a stationary microphone at a podium for training applications.
TV’s will be purchased by the Township but TV Full Motion Mounts for (55” TV Full Motion Mount / 37 Lbs.) and Installation can also be quoted including labor. (See Drawing Electrical Print For AV / TV Locations)
All AV and TV Locations on the print will have a single CAT 6 Run Labeled with White Face Plates.
The Fire Station will require (3) PA broadcast zones for radio transmissions/public addressing.  One zone will cover 100% of the building and be utilized for alerting and public addressing. The second zone will be utilized throughout 90% of the building (excluding dorm rooms), and a 3rd zone should have independent volume control for the Apparatus Bay Area.  A Wall mounted Volume control will be installed in the Kitchen / Dining Room / Dayroom Area and in the Training / Community Room.  
The current radio system is the Harris OpenSKY digital system.  The new system P25 Motorola is also known as PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point).  Oakland County will be upgrading the communication to P25 in the future.  The new system will be based off the State of Michigan MPSCS radio platform. The broadcast zones at Fire Station #1 should be adaptable for the future upgrade in radio systems.  2 of the 3 zones for paging will require emergency frequencies broadcast throughout the facility.  The dorm rooms will only have an alert broadcast.
All zones will have the ability to broadcast alert signal during an alarm emergency.
