The Charter Township of Orion (population of approximately 37,945 residents) located in northern Oakland County in southeast Michigan is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking proposals from qualified firms with the experience, resources, and expertise to create formal Township Branding Standards utilizing the Township’s existing logo, colors, and typeface, and to design signage consistent with that brand and the Township’s image. The signage will highlight major entrances; improve navigation for multiple modes of transportation; guide visitors to major landmarks, facilities, and parks; and be easily maintained.
GOALS
- To create a formal Township Branding Standards & Guideline document that incorporates the existing Township logo, colors, and typeface, for both Orion Township and Orion Township Parks & Recreation.
- To create a consistent gateway and wayfinding signage system across a range of signage mediums.
- To create gateway and wayfinding system that directs visitors to landmarks, facilities, activity/recreation, and services.
- To design and manage installation of the new gateway and wayfinding signage.
- To develop signage that can be fabricated using standard materials and methods, requiring minimal maintenance and are long lasting.
- To be sustainable as well as expandable and to establish an ongoing administration and maintenance plan for the system.
- To provide a scope of services that consists of a breakdown in costs by planning, design, and construction per unit and/or service performed.
