Summary of Specifications:
Sealed Proposals for the construction of Lyon Township WWTP SBR Expansion to 1.25 MGD will be received at the office of the Township Clerk, 58000 Grand River Avenue, New Hudson, Michigan 48165 until 4:00 p.m., local time, Monday, December 22, 2014 at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals must be submitted on the Bid Form provided in the project manual. Faxed or emailed copies will not be accepted. The project includes the following primary components: Installation of a new Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) at the Lyon Township WWTP to increase the treatment capacity by 0.5 MGD. The project includes: new SBR aeration blowers, new higher horsepower drive motor for two existing sludge digester aeration blowers, one new equalization tank aeration blower, new control system programmable logic controller (PLC) and new support equipment. The existing sludge thickener building will be expanded to support the new electrical, aeration and chemical feed equipment. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid price. The check should be payable to the Charter Township of Lyon.
