This project includes: A new, 10,000 sq ft single story fire station is to be constructed on a 5-acre parcel in Brighton Township. The new station will have a 3-bay, pull-through apparatus bay, a support structure with mezzanine to the west, and a office/living space to the east. This project also includes a separate pole barn to the north. In addition to the building, the sitework includes parking lot, circulation drive aisle ways, curb cuts, new water main, and a site detention pond.
Make proposals on the bid form supplied in the project manual. No oral or telegraphic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bid bond payable to the Brighton Area Fire Authority, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bidder shall see the complete request for bid issued with the construction documents.
Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Brighton Area Fire Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in regard thereto. In addition, the Authority reserves the right to evaluate bids on any basis determined by the Authority to be in the best interest of the Authority and to consider alternate bids if the low bidder(s) does not comply with the project requirements or are otherwise determined to be unqualified.
Bid documents and project manual will be available to prospective bidders mid-April. Bid documents can be electronically downloaded from the Michigan Inter-Governmental Trade Network (MITN) website @ www.mitn.info.
