Summary of Specifications:
The Bay County Emergency Management Department via a grant #EMW-2014-SS-00059 as provided by Homeland Security via the Michigan Department of State Police, Emergency Management is soliciting sealed proposals for replacement tablets, docking stations and installation for police vehicles servicing six (6) law enforcement agencies within Bay County.
Bay County currently uses Havis Docking stations and Panasonic CF-3x rugged laptops. We are seeking to replace the laptops with a rugged class tablet. The installation must provide an ergonomically correct position and the keyboard must be able to be position so that the operator does not have to twist while typing. The solution must articulate so that either the driver or passenger may operate the tablet. The tablet must not occupy any passenger space, and be centrally located to the console, to prevent any injuries in the event of an accident.
