Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) educates approximately 18,000 students and employs over 2,250 staff each school year. Overall, AAPS maintains 35 district owned and operated buildings. There are 22 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 comprehensive high schools, and 2 alternative high schools. Additionally, AAPS hosts an online virtual academy and maintains several other Administrative and Support buildings.
