Specifications include, but are not limited to: A.The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is requesting proposals for hardware procurement, professional installation services, and software to upgrade the existing Trapeze TransitMaster Vehicle Login Units (VLUs) and to add Automatic Passenger Counter (APC) hardware as needed to enable fleet-wide automatic passenger counting. B.KCATA currently utilizes Trapeze TransitMasterIntelligent Transportation System (ITS) version 15.1.18.3 (an upgrade to current version is scheduled for Fall 2020). The current in-vehicle TransitMaster hardware configuration includes three (3) different iVLU models –Rev-E, VI, and V8. This project includes upgrading a significant portion of the Rev-E and VI units to V8. Full integration of passenger counter technology is required for the current software version (15.x) and for the VI and V8 in-vehicle hardware. The end result of this project will include a mix of VI and V8 VLUs. The project will include replacement or decommissioning of all remaining Rev-E VLU’s.C.Additionally, KCATA currently operates two different models of UTA APCs and one model of IRMA MATRIX APCs. This project will replace all older UTA APCs and equip the remainder of the fleet with new IRMA MATRIX (or approved equal) APCs.
