Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposal to provide 44 Trailer Mounted Attenuators with Automated Flagger (TrMAAF) to the MHTC. The Offeror agrees to provide 44 TrMAAF at the specified price to the sole satisfaction of MoDOT. Unless otherwise specified herein, the Offeror shall furnish all material, labor, facilities, equipment and supplies necessary to provide the units. Attachment 1, Trailer Mounted TMA Flagger General Specifications, should be used in designing and building the units. Attachment 2 includes MoDOT’s Approved Products List. The Light Emitting Diodes (LED), on pages 8 and 9, shall be used to design and build the units. 4.2.1. The Trailer Mounted Attenuator (TrMA) used in the design must be a model that has received either an acceptance letter or a letter of eligibility for reimbursement of federal funding in regards to the crashworthiness of a device from Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for meeting American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) Test Level 3 requirement or National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 350 Test Level 3 crashworthiness. 4.2.2. An Automated Flagger (AF) component shall consist of a changeable message sign, emergency alert lights, light bar, STOP/SLOW sign, signal light, camera system, horn system and any necessary support structure, equipment and material, enclosures, mounting hardware, etc. Functionally equivalent alternatives to these components will be considered in the design evaluation. The AF component shall be capable of supporting itself and withstanding an impact force, applied in the horizontal direction at the center of its mass, of ten times the dead load of the component itself. AF component designs shall be signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer. MoDOT will review and accept the design of the AF component in conjunction with the 4.2.1 compliant TrMA. Physical testing of the AF component is not required. 4.2.3. All materials, equipment, and/or services must comply with the attached specifications and any additional requirements stated herein. 4.2.4. Upon delivery, Operator's Manuals and Technical Service Manuals for the TrMA and AF elements shall be provided. The format of the manuals may be in hard copy or an electronic source via internet site, jump drive, etc.
