Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide sign language interpretation services for meetings/events as requested by the City. The meetings/events may be live broadcast. Some meetings may be televised and some are made available online for streaming purposes; therefore the contractor must maintain a professional appearance. Contractor shall only sub-contract to a vendor approved by the City of Columbia. The City shall schedule services with the contractor as needed. Contractor shall confirm each scheduled interpreting assignment by calling or emailing the appropriate City staff by 5:00 PM one week prior to each meeting/event. In the event a scheduled interpreter is unable to keep an appointment or in the event that a competent interpreter is no longer available, the contractor shall notify the City by calling or emailining the appropriate City staff by 12:00PM (Noon) three (3) business days prior to the meeting. The City shall attempt to give at least twenty-four (24) hours notice to the contractor of cancellation of services. In the event a conflict and/or problem occurs with any interpreter(s) provided by the contractor, the City shall notify the contractor.
