The project will need to take place in two phases due to the amount of animals in the shelter, with the contractor performing the scope of work on two sections at a time. The Shelter will need 30 days’ notice prior to work starting to stop canine intakes and to reduce the number of canines in the shelter. Sandblasting of the cinder blocks is scheduled in July and ideally, tile work should begin shortly after sandblasting is complete. Project includes tiling the 49 dog kennels of differing sizes in four separate areas. Although kennels sizes vary by room they are all approximately 4’x5’ and all will need to be tiled 4’ high from the floor. Bid should be for porcelain tile with an epoxy grout. Bids should include photos of the tile or tile options. The surface the tile will be applied to is bare cinder block. Bid should be itemized to include materials, labor and include an expected time period to start and finish the project. It should also include warranty and scope of what the warranty covers and for what amount of time it is covered. See Exhibit A.
