Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Systems shall be designed and fabricated by companies normally engaged in the manufacturing of such equipment. Products of like materials shall be from a single supplier and the installed systems shall have a uniform appearance throughout the project. b. Stair and railing shall meet OSHA 1910.25 and 1910.28 regulations. c. Stair design criteria. i. Support a uniform live load of 100 lbs/sf and concentrated load of 300 lb distributed over 4 sq-in at the center of the span. Safety factor shall be 3.0. Requirement applies to entire assembly and individual stair treads. ii. Maximum vertical deflection under full live load shall not exceed ¼ inch. iii. Structures shall be rigid with no noticeable sway, deflection, or rocking.
