Specifications include, but are not limited to: The System Analysis highlighted the need to address several key areas of concern: Struggling academic achievement at the secondary level; High level of transfers out of KCPS boundaries as students approach secondary school grades, despite 15 high school options within KCPS boundaries (charter/KCPS); Challenges with providing robust middle/high school experience with small school sizes; Operating inefficiencies; Low retention rates at signature programs; Growing diversity of overall enrollment, but re-segregation of individual schools; and Feeder patterns/grade configurations are challenging for families to navigate. The following, but not limited to, should provide context for this evaluation: School Performance Analyze and summarize results for all existing performance measures over at least three (3) years. Climate/Environment Overall school culture and climate Safety – Student safety, discipline, emergency procedures. Learning environment – Teacher efficacy, classroom environment, professional development, curricular implementations and fidelity. School and Executive Leadership Professional climate - support, organization, professional norms. Knowledge of procedure and systems – Student Information System (SIS), HR procedures and requirements, curricular and assessment systems, MSIP 5.
