Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District will review and evaluate all proposals submitted for the repair of the #1 Thickener, which meet the function requirements as defined by the District. The clarifier mechanism is a 70 ft. diameter by 16 ft. side water depth originally constructed by Envirex in 1984. This clarifier is covered by aluminum decking. The following items were identified during an inspection of the equipment. Replacement: The following items are to be replaced due to heavy corrosion and or metal integrity. Center tube Influent well mounting brackets at cage Scum beaching plate with flushing valve assembly Scum blade and skimmer Scrapping mechanisms to include brass squeegees and plow blades on bottom of arms Repair/Rebuild: The cage and arms shall be disassembled and removed from the tank. NO SANDBLASTING WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE OF TANK. Arms, trusses, all connection joints and any other metal removed from the tank shall be sand blasted and inspected. Any metal piece with a thickness loss greater than 50 percent shall be replaced. New hardware shall be installed at all connections. No old hardware shall be reused. After inspection and replacement of metal and hardware the metal and hardware shall be painted. Drive: Drive unit (Envirex H-60 HT Drive Assembly with a torque rating of 53,500 ft/lbs) shall be removed and a spare H-60 thickener drive will be provided by the District to be rebuilt and installed. Rebuilds to include replacing bearing races, ball bearings, oil seals, needle bearings, gaskets. Torque switches shall be cleaned and tested for functionality. New drive and driven sprockets with drive chain. New motor with a new Winsmith gear reducer to match existing shall also be replaced. All gears and shafts from the intermediate and final reduction unit shall be reused. If these items are deemed unusable a quote may be supplied for replacement, or the owner may opt to have them repaired. Fasteners: All fasteners and anchors shall be 316 SS
